Abstract:Given the increasing shortage of high-quality iron ore resources, increasing the proportion of domestic iron concentratethat isdifficultto granulateinsintering iscrucial for reducingcostsandincreasingefficiencyinthesintering indusasdontpregaatigsiterngprocetisstdfocusdoteinceofthblndingprcssop granulatedmaterialswithconventionallygranulatedmaterialsTheresultsindicatethatintheconventionalgranulating sintering process, theupperlimit forironconcentrateproportionis12%.However,withthepre-granulatingsintering process,thisproportioncanbeincreasedto28,andtheresultingsinterhasgoodmetallurgicalproperties.Thesuitable blending method isthat the pre-granulated materials are added attheinletof thesecondarydrummixer to mix with the conventionallygranulatedmaterials.Thepropersecondarymixing andgranulatingtimeis5minutesaferblending.During the sintering process of the pregranualtedmaterials, the magnetite within the pre-granulated materialsare fully oxidized to hematite, and the iron oxides recrystallize to significantly enhanced the mechanical strength of the pre-granulated sintered portion. Simultaneously,low-melting-point liquid phases such as composite calcium ferrite formed in the matrix material permeateinto the poresof the pre-granulated materials, the twoform an interlaced fused structure, jointly and significantly improving the overall strength of the sinter.
