Abstract:Base on the pressures and pathways of carbon emission reduction faced by China's iron & steel industry with predominantlong technologicalprocess,thispaperprovidesa relative comprehensive introductionto the technological progressinnon-blastfurnaceironmaking,includingtheapplicationstatusofcoal-basedrotarykilndirectreduction,gas- based shaft furnace direct reduction,smelting reduction,and electrolytic ironmaking processes and points that that the non- blast furnace ironmaking processes based on hydrogen metallurgy and electrified ironmaking will be the important development directions for China's iron and steel industry to achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
