Abstract:In view of the problems of single means of traditional bentonite quality improvement and modification process, large quality fluctuations, and no fundamental change in the status quo of bentonite quality, the semi-dry organic intercalation modification test of bentonite is proposed by mechanical external force. The results show that the pellet performance of organically intercalated bentonite is significantly improved, and when its ratio is 1.2% ,the falling strength, compressive strength and burst temperature of fresh pellets reach 7.8 times/ (0.5m) ,29.5 N/P and 575 °C ,respectively, which are increased by 3.0 times/ (0.5m) ,9.2 N/P and 65 °C , respectively, compared with the traditional composite modification method. After organic intercalation, the maximum capillary water of bentonite is increased from 18.0% to 20.6% by the traditional composite modification method, and the contact angle is reduced from 11.59° to 4.93° ,the affinity with liquid is improved, the hydrophilic ability is enhanced, and the whole system is changed from a good dispersion stability system to a general stability system, which improves its adhesive performance and is conducive to improving the fresh pellet performance index.
